A Nigerian lady identified as Raufikat Oyawoye has entered the history books in Canada as she emerged winner of the Season 4 edition of the just-concluded Great Canadian Baking Show.
A Canada-based Nigerian named Tunde Omotoye had announced the historic feat on Twitter as he celebrated Raufikat.
He wrote:
The Season 4 of The Great Canadian Show, according to Wikipedia, kicked off on February 14, 2021, with Raufikat crowned the winner on April 4, 2021 after 8 weeks of competition.

The contest which started in 2017 has never been won by a Nigerian. Speaking to Legit.ng, Raufikat stated that she had entered the contest because of her family's encouragement and her desire to bake.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that the Canadian Embassy had honoured a Nigerian man for his attitude to work.
The high commissioner of Canada in Nigeria, Nicholas Simard, had also written about the young man on Twitter.
