2023 Election: PDP Extends Deadline For Submission Of Form

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has scheduled Thursday, April 14, 2022, as the closing date for obtaining nomination forms, and Sunday, April 17, 2022, as the closing date for submission of nomination forms for the 2023 general elections.

Debo Ologunagba, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, said this in a statement on Thursday, April 7, 2022, in Abuja.

Debo revealed that under the rearranged timetable, revised dates had been adopted for the screening and appeal of candidates.

According to the statement, the timeline for PDP screening are:

Tuesday April 19, 2022, will be the Screening of candidates for State House of Assembly elections, and appeals will be on Thursday April 21, 2022.

Wednesday April 20, 2022, will be the Screening of candidates for National Assembly elections, and appeals will be on Friday, April 22, 2022.

Screening of candidates for Governorship elections will be on April 21, 2022, and appeals will be on April 26, 2022.

Screening of candidates for Presidential elections will be on April 25, 2022, and appeals will be on April 27, 2022.

Debo urged all party members to comply with the newly-issued directive.

“Please note that all duly completed state assembly forms are to be submitted at the various states secretariat of the party. All aspirants, critical stakeholders, and party members are urged to be guided accordingly.” He said.

It is recalled that the previous deadlines for submission were April 1, 2022, and April 8, 2022.
